Belize is definitely one of the coolest places to vacation. Its ideal location – within the Caribbean and Central America – gives this country its rich history and amazing landscapes. Belize has over 200 islands (cayes) that you can visit, so there will be no time for boredom.

Ambergris Caye is the largest island of Belize and a hub of tourism activity. Here you’ll find the Barrier Reef. This 297 km long reef, one of Belize’s main tourist attractions, extends from Ambergris Caye in the north to the Sapodilla Cayes in the south. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996, it is the home of the fascinating Blue Hole, clearly visible from space. There is no shortage of trips to the reef offered by the many dive shops dotting the coast. Don’t know how to scuba dive? You can get lessons if you wish, from certified NAUI, PADI and SSI instructors.
